Are you seeking enjoyable and simple decoupage decorations to create for Christmas? These are incredibly fun and glittery – suitable for any age group!
Required Skills: None: Grab a container of Mod Podge and some scissors. This is among the easiest projects you’ll undertake.
I recognize that many of you currently have young children at home – they are out of school, the weather is chilly, and they may be feeling restless. They could benefit from some exciting kids Christmas craft projects! Kids enjoy crafting Christmas ornaments!
Great news – Mod Podge is here to assist. Since many of you are also decorating trees this weekend, you can set your children at a table with these fabric scrap Christmas decorations and allow them to unleash their creativity.
Believe it or not – adults genuinely enjoy making these as well. They are ideal for utilizing leftover fabric scraps if you’re a sewer, and you can create some delightful color combinations with your leftovers. Once you’re finished, hang them on the tree (well, not so much hanging as placing).
These Mod Podge decorations are incredibly easy and budget-friendly; you likely have all necessary supplies already, and your children will have a splendid time.
Here are the materials you’ll need to create the kids Christmas decorations. A couple of paper balls and some fabric. Styrofoam works as well, but I preferred these since the hanger was already attached. I tend to lack patience when it comes to hanging things.

Collect These Essentials
- Mod Podge – choose your preferred types. I utilized Glitter Gold, Glitter Silver, and Gloss. Glitter Mod Podge is discontinued so I suggest either Sparkle or Extreme Glitter
- Paper mache ornaments – as many as you wish to create
- Fabric leftovers – I didn’t possess any holiday-specific ones, so I purchased 1/8 yard pieces from JoAnn. They were only around $.30 each with current promotions
- Decorative items – whatever you have available; I used ribbon and buttons
- Flat paintbrush – one for each person!
- Craft Adhesive
- Scissors
I thoroughly enjoyed the decoupage process! I firmly believe that adults should participate in kids Christmas crafts. What are your thoughts?
