There are three straightforward steps to this DIY confetti balloon bowl, and let me share them with you now. You’re going to: 1) Inflate a balloon; 2) Apply Mod Podge to affix the confetti on the bowl and allow it to dry; 3) Pop the balloon and trim.

Gather These Supplies
- Confetti
- 1 balloon
- Mod Podge Gloss
- Sponge brush
- Scissors
- Vase, cup, or something else to hold the balloon while you work

DIY Confetti Bowl

Inflate the balloon, then place it onto a vase or cup (as a stand) for easier handling.

Apply Mod Podge to the upper half of the balloon using a sponge brush, then scatter confetti all over. Detach the balloon from the vase and hold it to spread confetti on the sides.

Allow to dry and apply another layer of glue and confetti. Repeat. When you believe the confetti is thick enough, allow it to dry one final time.

Add several layers of Mod Podge until a thick coat is achieved (approximately 3 – 4 layers; this is for stability). Let dry for 8 – 10 hours.

Rotate your balloon and pop it with a needle; I couldn’t do this due to my fear of the noise. Get someone to assist if necessary.

Trim the edges with scissors for an even finish. If you need to touch it up with Mod Podge, do so at this stage and allow to dry.
