Mini bouquet made of eggshells: Easter decoration for hanging

Spring is approaching – and you can simply suspend tiny vases from the branches. A miniature bouquet crafted from eggshells evokes precisely this ambiance within the home: airy, whimsical, and a touch lyrical. The egg cradles the blooms like a tiny vase, while the interior continues its role in the kitchen – for instance, in an Easter cake or as a fried egg. Before you know it, a plain breakfast egg transforms into a charming highlight on the Easter branch.

Create a mini bouquet using eggshells

The concept is wonderfully straightforward to execute: gently crack the egg at the top until a small opening is formed, utilize the egg for cooking or baking, and afterward clean the eggshell. Inside, there is now room for water, moss, or flowers. A ribbon that you fix to the interior or exterior of the egg will allow your egg to hang elegantly from the branch. With just a few strokes of the brush, each cup can acquire its unique appearance – ranging from soft pastel tones to striking splashes of color.

A collection of eggs looks especially lovely together: sometimes adorned with a single daffodil, at times with soft moss and a twig, occasionally with fluffy catkins or delicate dried blossoms. This arrangement results in a small, floating floral still life at the window or on the festive Easter table. And all of this using materials you likely have on hand.

For very tidy openings, you may initially puncture the eggs with a needle or kebab skewer and let the contents flow out before gently cracking the shell at the top. If you’re uncertain about the adhesive, wrap the ribbon around the exterior of the egg and secure it with a lovely knot. Feel free to unleash your imagination when it comes to color design: soft pastel gradients within a color palette look very harmonious, such as lavender-rose-cream or sage green-mint-white. For an exceptionally classy appearance, pair cream-colored eggshells with white ribbon and white flowers.
