Simple Popcorn Cake Recipe

This popcorn cake recipe is swift to prepare and ideal for events, movie nights, or a convenient, hassle-free dessert.

Ingredients  

  • 12 cups Popped Popcorn (without butter) (approximately 4 bags)
  • ½ cup Butter (1 stick)
  • 16 ounces Mini Marshmallows
  • 1 ½ cups White Cake Mix
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tablespoon Milk
  • 1 bag Fancy Sprinkles

Instructions 

  • Prepare popcorn following the instructions on the package. After popping, shake the bag upside down to release any unpopped kernels.

  • In a large saucepan, melt ½ cup Butter over medium heat. Incorporate 16 ounces Mini Marshmallows and stir continuously until fully melted.

  • Take off the heat. Add 1 ½ cups White Cake Mix, 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract, and 1 tablespoon Milk. Mix until well blended.

  • Drizzle the mixture over 12 cups Popped Popcorn (without butter). Stir until thoroughly coated. Add 1 bag Fancy Sprinkles, mixing to combine once more.

  • Transfer the popcorn mixture into a greased bundt pan. Press down the mixture into the pan using a greased spatula.

  • Allow it to rest for a few minutes, then invert the cake onto a platter. Wait until it sets a bit firmer before slicing and serving.

Notes
